Top 101 Best Saltwater Fishes Jan 12, 2008

This book provides many pictures and descriptions of various saltwater fish that are easier to keep and maintain. The book also provides a list of fish not suitable for most aquarists. There is a problem shoot guide in the back of the book as well as tips for maintaing a healthy saltwater aquarium.

Good, but not great. Sep 20, 2009

This book has good information and a very easy to use "compatibility" system, but overall it is a very generic book, with many species not included that I can find in the LFS. It does have a section on fish that are not good choices for aquariums, which is nice, but I would much rather preferred a broader "good fish" listing.

A good book to start with Sep 04, 2008
By Deborah M This book gives you a basic overview of common fish that are kept well in aquariums. It provides pictures and tells you how well it gets along in reef tanks. The only problem I find with this book is it doesn't give much description where the fish swim (bottom dwellers, out in the open, hide in the rock, under sand, etc). Other than that I think this book is a great place to start when setting up your tank and deciding which fish to go with (and how many per tank you should keep).
You would think this would have pictures of 101 fish, but no it doesn't ! Feb 25, 2012
By Alberts Pad I mean honestly if your buying a book to look at learning or purchasing fish don't you think people want to see what they look like? It has images for about half of the fish it talks about. Very disappointing ! Can I get a refund of half my money since there are pictures for half the fish.
