Excellent reference Apr 10, 2007
By R. Schoeneman This book is an excellent reference for anyone looking to find out more about fly fishing in Florida's salt water. The layout makes it easy to find the type of fishing opportunities you are looking for (wading, paddling, power boat). The author did his homework putting this together including interviewing guides and other fisherman that know specific areas better than he does.
I would highly recommend this book to any fly fisher interested in fishing Florida's coast. Bait and lure fisherman would benefit as well.

I have used this book for many years so save time finding good wade fishing spots in Florida. In general it's worth the price. The pictures in my copy from five or six years ago were terrible. Really bad copies of a map from somewhere. Some of the places were way off the mark, such as a place near Tampa that was a fast flowing river with cement walls that was unfishable. Other places like the shore around Anna Maria Island was once full of turtle grass is now bare sand. Maybe the book is updated in this version. I do still use the book as a reference when going somewhere new in Florida and would still recommend it.
